…she always believed in our son

“Catherine started working with our son when he was very young and spoke just a few words. She guided us through many times when we felt really worried about our son’s speech progress. I felt that she always believed in our son and his ability to improve. Though the changes were not always immediate, our son transformed under her care and guidance.

She has helped him work on skills apart from just speech production, such as increasing his pretend play and ability to take turns during games. During the pandemic, when so many offices and therapists were shutting down or doing all of their sessions online, she remained in-person for her younger clients who she knew really needed in-person care. We could not be more grateful for the constant source of care that she provided him during that hard time. It showed us that she has her clients’ best interests in mind and really cares for them. Our son absolutely adores her, and Catherine’s guidance during these past few years has been such a blessing.” —Mabel

…like a member of our family

“Catherine is not only a talented speech pathologist with extensive experience, she is like a member of our family. We are so fortunate to have Catherine as our son’s speech therapist. He was just diagnosed with autism, three years old, and barely able to communicate. Now he can’t stop talking!” —Cathy Gott, MPA

…absolutely adore her

“Catherine approached our son with a sense of calm and respect, such that he was immediately receptive to her. She uses games and friendly conversation as opportunities to improve speech, without making the sessions feel like “work” for the kids. We absolutely adore her and credit her with our son’s vastly improved speech issues and genuinely miss seeing her on a weekly basis because she’s such a delight to be around!” —Amanda & Mike L.

…always willing to try new things

“Catherine has been the speech therapist for our daughter for almost two years, since when she was first diagnosed with speech delay and later with ASD. Over the course of therapy, we could have not been more happy about working with Catherine. She helped us tremendously by teaching us a lot of things we could try at home, so that we were not limited in terms of therapy to only the 1-2 hours a week of her sessions.

Every session was beneficial not only to our daughter but to us parents as well, and we felt we learned so much every time. Our daughter built rapidly a great relationship with Catherine: Catherine is very engaging and she works really hard to plan every session to be functional and engaging by using a variety of toys, books, games and crafting activities.

In addition, Catherine is always willing to try new things when she believes they can help: at a certain point we found software to help expand our daughter’s vocabulary and Catherine took the time to learn more about it. When she saw that it was useful, she integrated it into the therapy by using the same words that our daughter was learning throughout the week in her sessions. Catherine was also open to collaborating with other therapists and she took time to read the other therapists’ reports and to provide us with thoughts and suggestions.

Over the years, we felt that we really developed a relationship with Catherine and that she really cared about our daughter…after now many years of navigating services and therapists, I can attest that this is rare and not something you find every day.” —Alessandra

…so grateful to have found her!

“Catherine was been working with our son for six years and counting. I give her my highest possible recommendation and I do not say that lightly. She has a patient, pleasant, and engaging manner that is effective with children of all ages, temperaments, and attention spans.

Catherine is also excellent at educating parents and explaining things to them in an understandable way, including even the physiological aspects and mechanics of speech itself. She does a great job communicating with parents in recapping each session, and suggesting ways we can continue to incorporate and reinforce what is being worked on with our son during the course of his daily life.

Catherine’s high level of expertise and care has made an enormously positive difference in our son’s speech and we are so grateful to have found her!” —Father of Lucas L.
